When I first start to fill in the application, I was with my best friend we saw this internship and we just applied but we never thought that we are going to be accepted. When I saw the message on my email, I just read congratulation part, and I was like, oh my god I am going to Turkey.
On the plane, I met my awesome roommate Flutra and we had a really long road. When we land we thought that we are lost at first but still it was exciting and interesting. Finally, we arrived in Canakkale at 2:30 and Tomas, our housemate from Italy, was waiting for us. We were very excited, we went to our apartment. There was our housemate from Italy, Bianca. We became great housemates! Tomas was our travel guide, he was with us everywhere until we learn the main roads in Çanakkale.
We met the others in the office and they all were so friendly and lovely, ready to help and very funny! Flutra and I started to explore the city and tried to found out the most beautiful places in Canakkale. Before coming here we just googled Canakkale but it didn’t look beautiful but how it was really beautiful. When we came here we were surprised by the wonderful places that this city offers. People were so friendly and we made new friends, so we visited the most beautiful places in Canakkale with the new friends. First, we went to the famous Troy Horse, we visited Assos which was very beautiful. So we stayed there all day. We had a wonderful time, we also visited Ayazma, it was like a paradise. We also across to the other side of Çanakkale with the ferry. We were there for a month, but the days were running, I will never forget the experience, the people, the time that we spend together. We also had Turkish lessons from a wonderful teacher who is very smart and kind. We got two more weeks more there then we will go back to Kosovo. We have to work with Roman society children and disabled people which was an is an experience that we will never forget.
Doing voluntary work is an amazing feeling, but doing voluntary work with great people is more than just amazing.!
